What the free reviews can and cannot show you
There are two free checks, and both are genuine diagnostics. The single-policy check reads one document against the governance framework. The policy-set check reads up to five documents — enough to see how a few of your policies behave together. Both show you the kind of observation, the level of specificity, and the questions the analysis raises from your own material.
What they cannot show is coherence at portfolio scale. Whether your safeguarding policy is properly referenced by your recruitment practice, whether your data protection obligations are connected to the policies that actually collect data, whether authority to make decisions is delegated anywhere at all — these are properties of the relationships between documents, and they only become visible once the whole set is read together. A school's policy portfolio is typically tens of thousands of words across a dozen or more documents; the free checks cover a fraction of that, deliberately.

The free tier is a trial, not a service. It is designed so you can see what the analysis surfaces from your own documents rather than from a curated sample. A complete review of a school's key policies is the paid service — that distinction is deliberate, not a limitation we would like you to work around.
What it costs
Pricing is based on the total volume of your policy portfolio, because that is what determines the work involved.
Payment is by card (Stripe) or invoice. A preview report is free — you pay only to unlock the full interactive report.

- Analysis against the governance framework. Coverage is mapped across 100 governance topics, cross-policy dependencies identified, and structural gaps surfaced.
- A preview report within 5 working days. Published to your console at no cost, covering coverage, a SCOPE summary and key observations.
- You decide whether to unlock the full report. The complete interactive report adds per-policy analysis, coherence observations and full domain detail.
What a review typically finds
The findings that matter most are rarely "you are missing a policy". They are usually about connections that were never made. Common patterns across school portfolios:
- Recruitment duties written without reference to safer recruitment standards
- Data protection obligations disconnected from the policies that collect data
- Decision-making authority referenced but never actually delegated
- Assessment expectations that do not account for language or learning support
- Safeguarding referral routes assumed rather than named
Your documents
Policy sets contain sensitive operational, safeguarding and HR detail. Handling is deliberately conservative:
- Uploaded over HTTPS and stored encrypted in Germany (Hetzner)
- Text extracted server-side; only the text advances to analysis
- Never used to train AI models
- Source documents permanently deleted within 14 days of completion
- Reviewed by a member of the governance team before release

Questions
What is the difference between the free check and the paid review?
There are two free checks. The single-policy check analyses one document against the governance framework. The policy-set check analyses up to five documents totalling no more than 10,000 words. Both show you the kind of feedback that emerges from your own material. The paid review assesses a whole policy portfolio together — typically tens of thousands of words across a dozen or more documents — mapping coverage across 100 governance topics and, crucially, showing how your policies do or do not reference one another. Coherence at portfolio scale cannot be assessed from a handful of documents.
How much does a policy coherence review cost?
The base review is €1,000 for a portfolio of up to 150,000 words, which covers most school portfolios. Larger portfolios are charged in bundles: €250 for each further 50,000 words. A preview report is published first at no cost — you pay only to unlock the full interactive report.
Can I see results before paying?
Yes. A preview report is published to your console within five working days, covering coverage, a SCOPE summary and key observations. You pay only to unlock the full interactive report with per-policy analysis, coherence observations and complete domain detail.
What document formats can be analysed?
PDF, Word (.docx) and Markdown files, or a zip archive containing them. PDFs must carry a text layer — a scanned image of a policy has no readable text and must be re-exported as a searchable PDF before it can be analysed.
How is my school's data handled?
Documents are uploaded over HTTPS and stored on encrypted servers in Germany. Text is extracted on our servers and analysed against the governance framework, with human review before delivery. Your source documents are never used to train AI models and are permanently deleted within 14 days of the engagement completing.
